Nicholas A. Podkowirow, DPM
Dr. Nicholas Podkowirow joined the Lake Zurich Foot Clinic staff full time in July 2019. Dr. Nick earned his Bachelors Degree at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Florida where he focused on both Biology and Chemistry. He is also fluent in Spanish. He earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and completed his residency at Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago, where he served as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Podkowirow has extensive expertise in sports medicine, foot and ankle surgery, arthroscopic surgery, diabetic foot care, general foot care, bio-mechanics and orthotic prescribing, dermatology, and wound care. Dr. Nick is an avid runner, volleyball player, and enjoys spending time with his wife and son.
Daniel P. Hare, DPM
Dr. Daniel Hare joined the Lake Zurich Foot Clinic staff in July 2017. Dr. Hare attended the University of Illinois Chicago as an undergrad where he was on the swim team. Dr. Hare earned his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Rosalind Franklin University of Science and Medicine and completed his residency at Norwegian American Hospital, where he was Chief Resident during his third year. He has expertise in all areas of podiatric medicine and he offers new and innovative treatments for a variety of podiatric conditions. In his free time, he enjoys sports, swimming, playing piano, and spending time with his wife and two children.

Sharon Hernandez
Medical Assistant
Sharon joined the Lake Zurich Foot Clinic in 1993. She has held a number of roles over the years, upholding the standard of care for patients and supporting the day-to-day function of the office. She is passionate about making sure patients have a positive experience each time they come in. In her free time, Sharon enjoys baking, solving puzzles, listening to music, and spending time with her family.

Kristin Happel
Practice Manager/
Certified Nursing Assistant
Kristin has been with the practice since 1996, and recently came out of retirement to resume her position as practice manager. In her free time, she likes to travel, read, cook, and play word games.
